Hello June

The month of June is a big deal at Sweet Yarns. There's is so much to celebrate and enjoy as the weather gets warmer.

June 1st is the kick off of the Northern Ontario Yarn Crawl. This annual event gives you the excuse to stop in at LYSes while you travel around this Summer. Get your postcards and then stop in at all 8 shops on the Crawl. Check out all the neat things these local yarn stores have.

June 1st is also the release day of our first Toque Kits. We picked a fabulous pattern that's fairly easy to do. Stop by to pick out the right colour for you or someone else.

 Also, we've started a thread in Ravelry where you can share pictures of all the hats you make from our Toque Kits. Can't wait to see all the beautiful projects.

 June 8th is World Wide Knit In Public Day. Bring your lawn chairs and your projects down to Sweet Yarns from 10AM to 12PM. You can hang out on our front sidewalk or wander on down to the little park by the lake.

June is also our Anniversary Month. The store was established on June 29, 2010. I purchased the store from the previous owner on June 19, 2015. And we've been at our location on Bancroft Drive for 1 year on June 28th. So we're planning a little party. Add Saturday, June 29th to your calendar. You won't want to miss it!

We won't be running any classes during June, July and August, but if you are looking to learn, we are always happy to schedule a private lesson. Contact the store and we'll work out all the details.
