Yarns coming from the suppliers usually come in a bag of five or ten skeins. When you’re doing a larger project, like a top, sweater or afghan, you want to have all the same dyelot. If others like the colour I have on the shelves and make it into Sweet Yarns before you, then there aren’t enough skeins of that colour left for your project.
Doing preorders:
🧶ensures that everyone gets the amount of yarn they need in the colours they want.
🧶it means that we can all be ready to start a make-a-long at the same time.
🧶 and it helps me choose the right colours and yarns to stock on the shelves as well.
I also do preorders on special items like some of my kits and boxes. I don’t like tying up products in kits and sometimes some of the stock for them sells out. The specialty boxes I put together are always a one-time deal and a limited run. Doing preorders on these kinds of products guarantees that I make enough of them.
Make sure to follow Sweet Yarns on social media or sign up for emails so that you’re always in the know for the next preorders. 😊
