Hard to believe we are already at March. This year is moving along quickly. Hopefully the weather will be a little more cooperative.
This post is just to let you know what we've got coming up for the next little while here at Sweet Yarns.
Classes
We've got two classes coming up. We're offering Brioche one last time on Saturday, March 23rd. And we've got a new course on Tunisian Crochet on Saturday, March 30th. Both classes have a couple of spots left. Registration is available online or in store.
Spring Knit-A-Long
It's always fun to start Spring off with a knit-a-long. This time we've got two patterns available to be knit out of Vibe. The yarn is a new one from Berroco that is made from Organic Cotton, Organic Wool and Nylon. You can choose from the Peiros shawl or the Tyria caplet. Yarn is getting ordered next week and should be in about the middle of March. If you would like to pick your colour ahead of time, stop by today or tomorrow.
More information will be coming as soon as possible. Most will be getting together Thursday nights. Start date to be determined. KAL will run until about the middle of May.
Upcoming Events
We're looking forward already to more things coming up. April has Easter and Local Yarn Store Day. We'll be doing inventory at the end of May this year. World Wide Knit In Public Day is coming up in June.
And I'm happy to confirm that 7 stores will be on the Yarn Crawl this Summer. If you haven't done a crawl yet, you really should. Grab some fibre friends and plan some road trips. You'll have June, July and August to travel around and visit other yarn shops.
