And just like that the weather has broken from Summer sizzle to crisp Fall. I've totally being craving wrapping myself up in cozy knits and drinking hot beverages. The cooler temperatures always inspire me to look at new patterns and get my needles busier.
This email has all the latest news for Sweet Yarns. The current new normal will continue for the month of September however we've got some plans to get you going on your crafts.
SHOPPING
Our current hours will be continuing at least for September. Wednesday will be reserved for classes, private lessons and appointments (must be booked at least the day before).
The store will be open: Tuesdays - 10AM to 5PM, Thursdays - 1PM to 6PM, and Saturday - 10AM to 3PM, at which times I will be returning messages and filling orders. If those times don't suit, you can book an appointment. Please contact the store to book a time.
We will continue to offer curbside pick up and free delivery in Greater Sudbury. We are taking cash, debit and credit cards in store, etransfers and credit cards over the phone or messages, or credit cards and PayPal through the website. When you do come into the store, you are welcome to peruse the shelves however we are asking that you not touch anything unless you are purchasing it. We want all our customers to be comfortable and get the supplies they need whichever way suits best.
We know there are always new things to learn and we want to teach you. Due to the current pandemic, classes will run a little differently this year. Information about upcoming classes will be posted and you'll be able to sign up. You will be contacted afterwards to set up a date and time for your course. We'll be holding classes of up to three students at a time. One-on-one will also be available. You can always book a private lesson if there's something you want to learn that we aren't currently teaching. More information coming soon so stay tuned!

Last chance to join our FO (finished objects) contest. You've got until the end of September and it's focused on Sweet Yarns. What does this mean? All FOs need to feature Sweet Yarns' patterns, colourways OR fibres (yarn, roving, etc.) purchased at the store. All the details have been posted in our Sweet Yarnies Facebook group. Small draws are being held randomly until then so post your FOs as soon as you're done.
ORDERING
As we gear up for Fall knitting, Sweet Yarns is still ordering often from Berroco as they continue to offer those great Project Of The Week kits. We're also working at getting in other fantastic yarns.
Please note though that our suppliers are still working with delays as some of their yarns, tools and accessories come from other countries outside of North America. If you have ordered something and you haven't heard from me yet, it's likely that what you wanted was delayed. As always, as soon as your order arrives, we get a hold of you and let you know.
If you're looking for something specific to craft, stop in and we'll see what we can hunt down for you. I know you'll all be thinking of Christmas gifts to make up too very soon. We're looking at revamping our Kit Klub and getting that going again soon.
